1998 McDonald’s Disney Lion King 2 Simba’s Pride #5 Pumbaa Plush Toy

Bring some “Hakuna Matata” spirit to your collection with this 1998 McDonald’s Pumbaa plush, toy #5 from Disney’s The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride Happy Meal series. The good-natured warthog and loyal best friend of Timon is instantly recognizable with his rounded body, oversized snout, cream-colored tusks, and black mane.

This miniature Pumbaa features a reddish-brown plush body, darker brown underside and feet, a pale pink snout, printed eyes, and a fabric tail. Measuring approximately 3.25 inches tall, 4 inches long, and 2 inches wide, he makes a compact addition to a Disney plush display or vintage fast-food toy collection.

Pumbaa was one of eight different plush toys offered during the McDonald’s Simba’s Pride promotion, available October 30 through November 26, 1998. This example was made in China and retains its sewn-in fabric labels.

Condition Description

Pre-owned vintage condition with light surface wear, scattered lint and stray fibers, and some flattening of the plush fabric. The black mane shows minor tousling. A few light threads are visible at the tip of the tail. Printed eyes remain visible, and the sewn-in fabric labels are attached with folding and creasing. No obvious tears are visible.
