Vintage 1974 Mattel Love Notes Sweet Melody Musical Doll 12" – Original Blue Floral Outfit
Bring a little 1970s nostalgia to your collection with this vintage Mattel Love Notes Sweet Melody musical doll. Measuring approximately 12 inches tall, she combines a soft cloth body with a molded head, painted green eyes, a smiling face, and light blonde hair styled in two braids.
Her original outfit features a blue floral dress and matching bonnet with white lace trim, cream-colored sleeves and pants patterned with small dark dots, and blue fabric feet. The illustrated chest panel shows a roller-skating girl beside a musical staff and a small dog, giving this vintage doll a distinctive musical theme.
Colorful musical-note appliqués decorate her hands, skirt, and legs. Sweet Melody was designed to produce different notes when designated sections of her body are squeezed. The note in her left leg, marked by the red musical-note appliqué, does not work.
The back of her head is marked ©1974 Mattel Inc., and her sewn-in manufacturer’s label reads Made in Korea. With her original floral outfit and recognizable musical details, she makes a nostalgic addition to a vintage Mattel doll or musical toy collection.

Condition Description
Vintage, pre-owned condition with visible age and handling wear. Photos show small marks on the face, fabric discoloration, frizz and flyaway hairs, and wear to the lace trim and musical-note appliqués. Loose threads and uneven stitching are visible along the back seam, particularly near the neckline. The musical note in the left leg does not work.
