Santa Claus riding a polar bear still bank from 1988. Made of heavy cast aluminum and hand painted, this sturdy, finely detailed still bank depicts a whimsical "Santa Riding a Polar Bear". It is brightly painted in red and white, with multiple colors to the toys in the pack on his back. Santa holds on to a cast rein as he sits side saddle on the polar bear. Coins are deposited in the slot provided behind Santa's left shoulder. Coins are removed by undoing the bank and turning the slotted screw. This American made toy savings bank was made in 1988 by the Reynolds Toy Company of Falls Church, Virginia. They specialized in the manufacture of well made cast metal penny banks.
