1930s “Authentic Irishman for Hire” Painted Wooden Sign with Red Frame
Bring Irish humor and decorative character to your home with this “Authentic Irishman for Hire” painted wooden sign. Its playful wording advertises storytelling, singing, dancing, carrying on, and the services of an “experienced drinking companion”—a conversation piece for a home bar, game room, or man cave.
The design features golden-yellow lettering against a dark green background, with brighter green shadow accents, shamrocks, and decorative scrollwork. A red-painted molded wooden frame with a narrow gold-colored accentsurrounds the sign, complementing its colorful lettering.
Described as an American handcrafted piece dating to circa the 1930s, with its original painted surface, this sign offers folk-art appeal and an Adirondack-style decorative look. Its compact 13.5-inch width and 11-inch height make it easy to incorporate into a wall display alongside Irish collectibles, rustic decor, or other vintage signs.
An attached sawtooth hanger is visible on the back for wall display.
